Vision and Mission

Our mission statement has two parts 1. ‘to glorify God by making Jesus known in the Hunter Valley and beyond and 2. to help people live out God’s word in every day life.’

Our ministry foundation stone is: ‘Knowing Christ & making Christ known’ – that’s what our churches are on about. Our mission statement locates our work in the kingdom of God. Everything our church does comes under regular review by the leadership team (the elders) to ensure that our ministries reflect our mission statement and core values. We want to obey the great commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19ff “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age”.

Our Vision (for all our churches)
The overall vision applied to each of our churches is:

• Be churches holding to God’s Word as first and foremost in all we do
• Be churches reaching out with the gospel to connect people to Jesus
• Be churches that grow people to be mature in Christ (discipleship).
• Be growing churches devoted to following & serving Jesus
• Be prayerful churches
• Be constantly applying our resources to outreach and church planting. In addition to the above, the leadership team has some specific ‘vision’ points for each of our churches (congregations) that take into account their unique characteristics.
